Seen this tonight and there must only have been four or five other people at the screening. Not complaining mind, as I generally prefer it that way but I find it quite odd that this film appears to be going under the radar somewhat. Had presumed it must be useless and that was the only reason I hadn't seen it already myself in fact.

On the contrary though, it is a really good film, which is based on an affair Charles Dickens apparently had with a younger woman. It's a really interesting story, well told (no idea how accurate it is though) and the performances were excellent, across the board.

Ralph Fiennes plays Dickens, but he also directs the film and have to say I wasn't a fan of his first film (Coriolanus) at all but this was very well directed and as I say, the performances he seems to have extracted here were amazing, particularly in the case of Felicity Jones, who plays lead role.

Doubt it will last much longer in the cinema, as these types of films seldom do.
