Does anyone know what O.S.C.S.F deduction on my payslip represents?

I understand the oscs_sp&c refers to the state pension to be paid to my dependants in the event of my death but no idea what aforementioned represents.

Haven't queried it previously but deduction equates to a substantial amount each month.

It's not a tax related query to be honest, best bet would be to take it up with your payroll.

Please note that PRSI payments determines eligibility for the Dept of Social Protection State Pension.

"sp &c" is a reference to "Spouses and Children", which is part of an occupational work pension.

If you are a public servant, note that there can be up to four pension deductions:

    Main scheme
    Lump sum
    Spouses and Children
    PRD

These are all elements of the PS occupational pension.

    These are separate from PRSI.
