    Hi all.
Try to make this as short as i can. Basically 3 year ago i helped someone form a company. Last summer a "said" so called investor came into the equation. Now this "investor" conned the person who i had helped form the company into signing everything into his name. The original person we will call A and investor is B. I was doing everything for e50 a week. (A gave me 50 when he felt like it) Any way my laptop broke as it was old and couldnt cope with all the graphics n stuff any more. So A got gave me a second hand laptop and said " here this is for you" so i thought great all the work and i finally got something for it. Also he told me to get broadband installed in my house and he would pay it. He paild it once so im stuck in an 18 month contract .Fast forward to now and he hasnt told me i dont work for him anymore( not that he was paying prsi or anything or was he putting me throught the books) he wants the laptop and has threatened legal action. He has no receipt for this laptop. Sorry if this is a bit confusing im on a rant

He owes you for 17 months broadband, tell him you will return the laptop as soon as you are re-imbursed. Then buy a new laptop.

Tell him to whistle for his laptop. He has no proof of purchase, nor proof that you ever worked for him.

There's something else going on here. Nobody threatens legal action for something they value at E50.

Is the work of the company on the laptop? I presume that's what he is really after.

Well let him huff and puff away then. State that the laptop is a lien against payments owed if you wish (though that would acknowledge ownership).

If it's worth your while get legal advice to put your claim against him. Alternatively, if the laptop is of no value to you hand it back to him and move on. His motive might be more to irritate you then get the equipment back.
