    Hiya,

I have a Carrera Subway hybrid bike. Its a pretty boring dark grey and I had an idea of giving it an old skool paint job. Im good with spray painting and I am trying to find a colour scheme from the 1970's/80's era that I can apply to my bike. I think an old skool paint scheme on a modern bike with disk brakes etc would look pretty cool :)

    Any ideas?

    This is my bike....

Ok, I think that Klein was actually from the early 1990s.

Stick a top tube pad on and make a giant Burner.

Haha interesting ideas... I was looking more at a race bike colour scheme or simple mix and match colours to create something retro looking. Then I'll strip the bike and get painting.

I always loved the yellow and blue GT bikes - like this one

So I got my Banshee Legend painted similar colours. She is a beast!

You can't paint a MTB in road colours. That's all sorts of wrong.

There are probably a good few examples in retrobike, like this 1982 Salsa.

I'm feeling that yellow and blue GT colour bike lol. I wonder what else is out there I could replicate.
