Brittany in April?

    Hi there,
Am totally new to French camping but always wanted to take the kids. I was thinking of a week in April (12th) and have found a place that has heated inside pools open all seasons in Benodèt. It looks like great fun-but have a few concerns:
    1. Is the weather going to be horrid that time of year?
    2. I have the option of taking a small car or a jeep. The jeep would be roomier and can take more luggage but could i do with the small car? What will i need to take? own linen? own towels, pillows?
    3. Yelloh! Village Port de Plaisance, Bénodet is the place that was recommended for that time of year. My kids love the pools so need somethiing like that for them.
Any other advice? Am i mad to go in April? Will be using the brittany ferries from Cork.

I haven't been to Brittany in April. According to a few websites, the weather is likely to be 13-17degrees with a fair chance of some rain - Just like Irish spring weather but likely to be a bit warmer and drier but its a risk, like going away in Ireland at Easter, could be like winter, could be like Summer.

If you are looking for warm sunny weather, don't bother, if you want to get away and are hardy to the weather, then go for it.

You don't need good weather all the time to have a good holiday. Brittany is great for kids. The Aquarium close to Benodot is great. The beaches are lovely and young kids love beaches in all weather.

You can rent sheets and towels in the campsite, but the quality is sometimes poor and the price is high. Better to bring your own.
You will need to bring clothes for all weather.

If you are prepared for the journey and the weather, it could be a great holiday
