Buying a series 3 landrover

    Hi

    I am going looking at a series 3 landrover

    Could you give me any tips on what to look for in terms of it running well and any important questions to ask.

    rust rust and rust, did i mention rust? 2.25 petrol should be whisper quiet, diesel will be slow and noisy. check rust on doors, bulkhead, chassis from front to back... check gearbox for jumping out of gear.... where are you as if you don't know what your looking at it's dead easy to get shafted with a really bad moneypit. check out www.4xforum.net theres a load of us series heads over there that would happily throw an eye over any prospective purchases for you. pm me and i'll approve you as im a moderator over there:D
