Hi guys,

Have a 2011 MBP - fully updated, use Chrome for internet (never used Safari) and use Hotspot VPN when connected (even at home).

Chrome extensions used:
Adblock Plus
Auto Pager Chrome
Ghostery
History Eraser
HTTPS Everywhere
Minimalist for Everything
Pocket (formerly Read It Later)
TinEye Reverse Image Search

Installed but rarely enabled:
Awesome Screenshot: Capture & Annotate
ColorZilla
MeasureIt
WhatFont

Every maybe 3 or 4 days, when i start my MBP and launch Chrome a tab opens containing what the screenshot shows.

I'm afraid that something has been compromised or is spamming (admittedly not that often) but still.

Does anyone else have this issue or am I being over cautious?

Thanks

Check the "startup" pages in chrome settings under
"Open a specific page or set of pages. Set pages"

I tried googling kaboomit.com but got nothing. Maybe try uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling it, extension by extension?

Kaboomit.com is associated with godaddy.com. You might check out this area.
