I'm just wondering, how to go about getting from Citywest to Dublin Airport for a 7am flight? What public transport options, if any would I have, would anyone have tax fare estimates etc?

would it be around €25 in a taxi? it's a short drive, if public transport comes to around €15 or so, i'd take the taxi.

If I could get it for €25 in a taxi, can you PM me of where?

The only public transport option is the Airport Hopper from The Square in Tallaght:

The bus that would connect with a 7am flight is very early - 0350, arriving at the airport for 0430.

€5 single from the Laus P+R at the Red Cow with Dublin Coach. Getting to the P+R is the problem though.

Thanks for the replies guys, from what I can see the only way to get to the Red Cow Luas at that hour would be by taxi, and that's about €20 so by the time you'd get the bus with 2 people you'd only really save a fiver :pac:

There was a thread on here a few weeks ago whereby the OP said the fare from the airport to Citywest campus was in and around the €30 mark, ex tolls; I think his case was a daytime fare so at night it will be closer to the €36 mark on the meter.

Perhaps a firm can offer you a fixed rate for your trip; ask them if this is possible.

First Luas only leaves Tallaght at 5:40AM; you'd need to be in the airport by then!:D
