    Probably providing overhead cover for cash in transit if it's a Cessna. It's a common sight in other towns around the country. Or it could be something to do with the recent floods. It won't be for fun because circling for any length of time is not fun. It rapidly becomes boring.

    Just from a quick Google it looks like one of them PC 9M aircraft.

    Then probably training out of the airport. They are fast enough to take in much of the town while practising their touch and go's. I'd love to fly one of those one day.
