Car prang, how much does insurance go up?

mother in law had a prang the other day at a set of lights, she dented the door of another car, and she is going through her insurance.
my main question is what will her insurance go up by, she has no claims protection but her next policy will inevitably increase, anyone know what it will increase by roughly
she is paying 380 a year now with 123.ie

Nobody here can answer that question OP. Ask your insurer

If she has protected no claims, I can't see if going up

    Ok thanks
I was just wondering if it was going to sky rocket, I wouldn't have used insurance but she got in a panic

NCB will still be retained but the premium loaded.

    That's what I thought
The no claims is protected but the policy will rise

I know that is possible but I've not seen it happen for small claims such as described

I have ncp on my policy, wife had a prang as named driver 5 months ago (her fault), accident cost just over €5k, policy went up €8.
The only thing is, I won't be able to change insurers for five years.

Also she'll be stuck using 123.ie for the next five years as well. No one else will quote if you've had a claim in the last five years. (well some will, but at a cost)
Its how the insurance companies get some, or all, of their money back.

I had a similar shunt at Christmas. Lost 2 years NCB, cost an extra 150 euro on renewal 14th Feb.

We had a smallish claim last year, needed a new rear door & a small bit of bodywork repair on an 11 reg, the renewal premium was actually lower when it came a few months later, NCB was protected.

Claimed for a wing mirror, have ncb protected, price of policy did not go up following claim
