    Hi all

Just wondering what Books people are using for DCG, what opinion on these books are or are their any new books coming available?

Looking at doing up a Book list and wondering what options are available.

David Anderson is releasing a new book ??? From this link it looks like he is?

Joseph Terry also has a DCG Book, this link

    Any opinions welcomed :)

I have both david anderson's books and i have to say they are not great. For some chapters it gives good tips but on others it is worse than useless. I'd reccomend going to the t4 website where they do have a few resources and notes for students

I use David andersons book aswell. not very good imo, very detailed, a lot of which confuses students and is unnecessary. I make them get this book, http://www.dcgsolutions.org/Online-E-books-Samples_ep_46.html
http://www.dcgsolutions.org/Samples/DemoPD/DemoPD.html and I swear by it. There are a few bits that it doesn't cover though. It has a cd and perforated sheets that tear out, so you can draw along with the aid of the cd. Miles ahead of any other book. Costs about €25.

    Hi

Did you order a full set for your students? We had debated this in my school but stuck with David Anderson's Book in the end.

I asked who wanted the book. Strongly advised everyone to get it, but made higher level students get it. Took the money from them and ordered that amount.

David Andersons is better than Joseph Terry's book by far. But even a few years ago when I did use the book with my classes I rarely referred it it to be honest.

DCG solutions workbook as quoted above is the business.
As described the sheets are torn out of the workbook. CD rom with each workbook so basically get an ebook with it each at home. I use it every day in class and couldnt but recommend it. The ebook at home with every question done line by line, theres no excuse for not doing homework.

    Plus way cheaper than Andersons.

Having the sheets in the workbook lined out and set up saves massive time in a course that there isn't time to cover anyway.

I originally ordered class sets but collecting money is a nightmare so now its on the book list and they must have it for first day in September. She posts them all to the school and the kids get free delivery. Free teachers copy with class set. She couldn't be nicer or easier to deal with
