Can google drive be used to store PowerPoint presentations?
And is there a way to have a file, on my windows PC, that when I alter it, google drives version also gets altered, or does the file need to be in drive for that?
And if so, does google drive support word, PowerPoint excel etc?

    Thanks,

    Ed

Download Google Drive for Windows here.

It'll create a folder C:\users\<your username>\Google Drive. Anything in there will sync to Google Drive no matter what type of file it is. Editing it is as simple as opening it from that folder, editing it, then saving it. The Google Drive application will then automatically sync the changes to your Google Drive storage.

So does that mean it's stored locally AND the cloud?

    Yup.

Most of the mainstream consumer cloud storage products offer a file synch option.

DropBox, Google and Microsoft all have them, any changes you make to your local shared folder (and the files within it) synchronise to your cloud storage.
