    Hi

Just wondering has anyone here use the high density pumped foam insulation - wall tight, made by BASF

What are your experiences or are there any problems associated with it

Looking to get my house pumped with it but it is very expensive

I'm pumping my cavities with bonded beads. I don't think foam products are used that much now?

i had a very quick look there and i cant see any certification for its use in Ireland or the UK.

show me the Iab/NSAI cert? and we'll discuss it further. otherwise stick with the tested grey bonded bead system

I haven't seen any cert either but it is been used. The beads I was told to stay well clear off by 3 builders and 2 geo men. The foam is apparently a great job. I was just looking for feedback from others

I would expect the opposite... the beads are commonly used in Ireland but the foam...?

i have my doubts regarding pumped bead however nothing to substantiate them mind you. For instance, what guarantee have you that the bead will seal around every wall tie in a building, small gaps here or there, settling of the bead over time etc.
not saying this is necessarily the case but would love to see any case study on pumped bead houses that were carried out say 30 years ago

foam would be used on new build, closed cell and open cell

on old build it would expand before it could reach everywhere
