    Hi,

I'm looking at getting a mini (second hand)and was hoping someone here might know what kind of mileage they tend to get up to, i.e. would buying one with 87,000 miles already on the clock be a bit pointless. Thanks for any pearls of wisdom.

It's around average miles, maybe a bit below. It says full service history too.

I not worry about miles on that, 87k miles no problem. First of Mini had poor gearbox but not 2006 version :)

There is no set mileage when a car will implode. It all depends on how it was maintained and serviced.

Ok so service history important, implosion unlikely. Thanks!

I drove a 2006 MINI this week with 225000km on it and it was tight as a button.

Full service history, and serviced every 10k from new though. They're capable of that mileage if looked after.
