mira excel dripping

    Hi all i have a mira excel biv shower and it is leaking inside and going down through the stud i have replaced the cartridge which cost an arm and a leg and it is still dripping inside could anyone advise me as to what the problem is and how i could go about solving it thanks in advance

    New or old type excel?

    Not sure it has the purple knob on it and its in about 10 years or so the part no is 1.903.33.6.0 it says 1990-96 on it as well hope that helps

    Is the cartridge round or egg shaped?

    If ur shower was leaking in the wall the issue was very unlikley the cartridge, the excel cartridge is a sealed unit and if it was passing would have been leaking at the shower head, why did u change it?

    Was told that sometimes the parts can wear inside and the best thing was to replace it

    Very unlikley, these cartridges are bomb proof, they have filters so they dont have wear issues with debris which could cause a leak and even if it did it would leak through the shower head, if ur shower is leaking in the wall cavity you have a damaged seal.

    I put in the new cartridge and it was still dripping so I changed the seals with the spare ones that came with it and all was greased up and still dripping what could be causing the problem surly they couldn't be getting damaged every time there is no rough spots on the housing was thinking of silconing the cartridge in and leaving it to seal would that work

    You still havent explained where its leaking from? , stick up a picture where the leak is comming from
