    ok im awful at maths i mean really bad can someone please explain this mainly i need to know dh/dt

    if a ball is thrown vertically up in the air its height h metres, varies with time t seconds

    such as h=1+ 30t-5t 2 squared

    find dh/dt its speed


    again
    can anyone explain dh/dt i cannot find anything to help me

    The simpliest rule of differntiation is:

    [latex]\frac{d}{dx}x^n=nx^{n-1} [/latex]

    Using this, I'll do a similar problem to the one you posted, and let you try your one again.

    So, if [latex]h=3t^3-t^2+4 [/latex], then [latex]\frac{dh}{dt}=9t^2-2t[/latex].
