Quite a few bug fixes, including the one for Mail and (yes) the recently discovered SSL vulnerability.

Also one for the issue with audio distortion too. That will be very welcomed by the musicians out there!

Normally I wait a bit with OS X point releases but I pulled the trigger on this one right away to sort the SSL issue.

So far so good. Got the usual slightly bigger Time Machine backup when I brought it home and that was it.

Very pleased they fixed Gmail labels in Mail too.

"Fixes an issue that could cause the Mac App Store to offer updates for apps that are already up to date"

At long last! This bug was causing me severe frustration and wasting valuable band-width by updating the updates with the same updates, ad nauseum.

"Resolves an issue with Keychain that could cause repeated prompts to unlock the Local Items keychain"

    At long last 2! PITA

Was this not due to having multiple copies of iWork installed?

It effected apps other than the iWork collection i.e. 3rd party apps etc.

Apple leaves the old copies of the iWork apps in situ as the new versions won't open documents created by the older apps.

I'd discovered another possible App Store bug before applying the update. Sometimes (I haven't figured out why yet) the App Store attempts to update apps (demo and trial versions) for sale in the App Store but installed from other sources (developer site, VersionTracker, Tucows, etc.). The updates fail with the usual "not bought here" message leaving behind a mangled mess. The next and subsequent runs of the App Store cause the App Store to crash.

I've sent examples to Apple via the report crash log facility. The trick would seem to be not to try to update apps not sourced from the App Store.

Thats odd, as App Store apps would have a receipt file embedded that non-App Store apps wouldn't. The App Store should (and IIRC historically has) used this receipt file as well as the purchase history to know whether to include an app for updating or not. Strange one.

    ... Strange one.
The only reliable fix I've discovered is to erase all traces of the partially updated mangled app using AppCleaner or similar; the App Store then works OK. I haven't figured out why it selects some apps but not others.
