Hi my father has a 04 Toyota Avensis 1.6 petrol. Car wouldn't start the other day but once the car got a push you could get it going. He brought it to a garage there today. They diagnosed it was the starter and said they would replace the starter with a reconditioned one. Anyway how much could he expect to get charged for the starter and labour?

200/250. If you're able to remove the starter yourself, there are places that will recon your own unit for about half that.

Well yea he's just after getting the car back there, the garage charged him €120, so I guess that's very good but he did know the owner of the garage so maybe that helped.
