Help with hard drive

A lad in college recently put a build together but when he went to install windows on his Seagate Barracuda 1TB it's only showing a capacity of ~30 Mb.
I'm having a look at it for him as he didn't have another pc to put it in.

I tried formatting to NTFS and making a new partition, all in parted magic using hirens boot cd but can't seem to get anything to work.

    Any ideas?

Alright using seagate disc wizard through Hiren I was able to get it up to 2Gb capacity, don't know what else to try, looks like the drive is fecked tbh

Changed to ahci in the bios and it's showing 1tb in the bios at least, I'll find out if it's sorted tomorrow when he tries to install the OS again

Try using the built in drive manager in Windows: Options => Administrative Tools => Computer Management => Disk Management.
