on demand in rep of ireland

    hi,hope some1 can help,ive a humax box,trying to get on demand channels,bbc i player,4/5/ on demand etc,wont play as im in the rep,although im using a belfast post code,to enable me to get utv,bbc n of ireland etc,,,,any way round this,whilst keeping my utv etc,or changing the post code im using..thanks,hope im in the right forum.

    Does the ITV player work for you? AFAIK, iPlayer and the players for 4 and 5 are geo blocked for ROI but ITV player should work.

    Changing postcodes won't make a difference.

    Na,itv player isn't even in my line up,think if u put in a london post code itv player works,but u forfeit utn/bbc north of ireland,ps tnx

    hi,ref to last,was replying via my mobile,small screen/big fingers,so made a few shortcuts,and might i say,youre very touchy reference txt talk,and yeah,im straight frim playschool,look up Cork slang for fool/equals langer,ring any bells?,shoul do,as each time you pass a mirror you see one.

    I don't know if the consumer can get to the DNS settings for a Humax box, but if so you could use commercial DNS/proxy servers (a few € per month) to geolocate you in the UK while your other devices remain unaffected.
