I replaced headset bearings on a 2010 Boardman Comp. They were loose bearing contained in a cartridge. The h/set was marked "cartridge inside" but as I say on mine it wasn't a sealed cartridge.

If yours is a sealed cartridge unit then it's a visit to a bike shop to identify the replacement or else you may be able to get the model reference numbers off it and order online.

A trip to Halfords probably won't help much as even through they are Boardman resellers they don't have much info on the bikes in store. However, Halfords in Carrickmines I hear are quite good, might be worth a try.
