    Hi All,

I know these threads are constantly popping up but theres always good recommendations here!

Other half looking to upgrade car, currently has a 03 Fiat Punto that's served its purpose but is on the way out

She is insisting on buying from a dealership and not private, and is looking at buying a new car (as she wants to get a warranty....) but with a price limit of around 12 to 13K (think any garage she has asked have offered only between 600 to 1000 for the punto)

She is thinking of getting a new Suzuki Swift 1.2, as this is within her budget and they give free road tax for 6 months plus 5000km free petrol… However I thought smaller engines were more for city driving and she does a fair bit of travelling for work,

Im trying to talk her into going maybe go back afew years to a 2012, maybe as far as 2010, and to get something a small bit bigger like a 1.4 as she drives for work all over munster and will be doing at least 10 to 15 thousand miles a year.

Would a 1.2 be ok for this or am I right in saying she'd be better off going abit bigger (I don't think she'll opt for a 1.6....although a diesel could be an option?)

Any suggestions that could tempt her away from the 1.2 Swift, or would it be able to hold up to the mileage? Space in the back/boot aren't an issue so actual size of car isn't a factor....Although it will probably have to look "nice" :o

Sorry for the long post, thanks for any suggestions!
