Program to create images / bootable USB

    I'm buying a new PC and I'd like the ability to create my own recovery images.

    At work for our laptops, we have a USB drive which the laptop boots into, and then runs a program that deletes everything on the hard drive and installs an image.

    What program can I use to create that image and make a bootable USB?

    You can use YUMI from pendrivelinux to create a bootable USB with a lightweight linux distro on it. You can then use that to create an image from your hard drive or restore the image to your hard drive.

    Acronis True Image does a great job but it's not free.

    The best tool I have used to create bootable USBs is Rufus, made by a guy in Ireland, I believe:
