4G not working in Galway

I Have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and bought on the shop a 4G Meteor SIM Card with bill pay and a 4G plan. I live in Galway and have been in several places in city center and it only shows the H+ or 3G sign, but never the 4G sign. Any idea? Thanks

I don't have this LTE/CDMA or Automatic options....

Aren't you supposed to update the firmware to enable 4g.

Can it be a network issue, so if I try a 4G 3 network sim card, it would work?

You may have to make a change in network settings. Ask in the shop you bought it in, they have probably helped a lot of people with the new 4g.

try asking in the Talk to Meteor forum (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1558)
or install something like Advanced signal status (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cc.signalinfo)
this will show you how you're connected, and give you the option to go into the phone info menu to specify the network type
