Train the Trainer (The Open College)

As above - does anyone have any experience doing this course with this provider? Train the Trainer has become an internal requirement for the company I work for so completion of the course would be to tick a box so to speak (we would have qualifications in our subject areas, just not Train the Trainer at the moment).

Also, it says the course leads to award of a FETAC component certificate - is there something beyond that that is required to get the full award or is that actually it? Their prices seem quite reasonable compared to other providers, perhaps unusually reasonable. If anyone has any experience either way with them or could answer the question regarding the 'component' certificate I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks!

    Hi powwow

Sorry I have nothing to add to your post but ronde ring did you ahead with this course with open college?

What are you thoughts on it?

Sorry only just saw your post now! No we didn't in the end, they cancelled the course repeatedly due to not having enough people signed up and I got sick of waiting.

They're rolling out a new 5 day FETAC course replaces the old Train the Trainer I believe - their pricing for it is a lot more expensive than other local providers so I'll be going with someone else when I finally get round to it.

Saw the new course online - it looks very comprehensive with two modules in it leading to a special purpose award. I am hoping to do this one with a Waterford company soon. Heard great reports about them from another friend who completed this course with them.
