    Hi folks,

Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to lay a new hardwood floor.Iv got about 20m2 to do and skirting. Also old skirting and existing wooden floor need to come out? Its been laid on concrete floor and underlay.Im getting all sorts of quotes.

    Cheers.

What type of floor is there at the moment?
How much new skirting to be fitted?
    How many door thresholds?
Are you fitting ply and nailing ,battens ,sticking or just glue and float?
    What shape is the room?
Is there any levelling to do?
Labour only or supply and fit?

If you have not picked the floor yet , have a look at an engineered floor instead.A 6mm wearing layer will be cheaper, last as long , harder wearing, cheaper to fit and wont spread as much .

    concrete floor

    22m skirting

    one door threshold

the last floor i believe was a junkers clip down......but i might ply this one( i heard its better for solid)

    No levelling

Square room with a bay window and 2 alcoves
