Depends how seriously you intend to take the clay shooting, I would have thought. The Maxus would be spot-on for the ducks and foxes, bit unwieldy for snipe, and not to everyone's taste for clays at all. Just my opinion. I suppose, realistically, you would hardly have a half a dozen days after snipe in the year, while you could be at clays every day if the wallet allowed. Others would advise best O/U for clays (what discipline?) Price? dunno, google or the nearest Browning dealer.

ive got a browning maxus and do a LOT of shooting and a bit like yourself a bit of everything but mostly game and vermin.i bought a beretta 686e sporter and had it for 7 years thought it was a very good gun but was getting very loose and worn and decided to trade it for a new maxux 800 with the beretta i paid for it i think their 1650 new now but i cant fault the gun i shoot a lot if snipe with it along with all other game and i think its a great all rounder, how ever i wish i kept the beretta as well i still think your better off with a double barrel for clays having 2 chokes and being able select barrels is a great help.any man id say youd be verry happy with the maxus i bought one with 30 inch barrels and got a 2 inch extended choke with it and it makes a massive difference in distance im very happy with it.try lakeland in mullingar they have a great selection.
