Any reason for this? Wonder had it anything to do with the scandels last year or just run it's course.

    Much ado about nothing really.

He will still be working for Godolphin.
I mean what is the difference between Racing Manager and Global Racing Advisor for an operation like Godolphin.

Just a new title really. Will probably be paid more for doing a lot less!!

    From RP site

SIMON Crisford has resigned as racing manager of Godolphin.

His shock departure comes less than a fortnight after the publication of a report by Lord Stevens, which was critical of Godolphin and other parts of Sheikh Mohammed's equine operations but concluded that Mahmood Al Zarooni acted alone in the doping scandal that engulfed the stable last year.

Crisford, one of the most widely respected figures in British racing, said on Monday night: "Having dealt with the events of last year and seen the Lord Stevens inquiry through to its conclusion, I thought that this was a good moment to bring my time at Godolphin to a close.

"I had felt for a while that I would like a fresh challenge. I think the time is right for a new start for the stable and for me. Sheikh Mohammed has asked me to take on a new role as his global racing adviser. I am delighted to have accepted that position and I am very much looking forward to what will be an exciting new chapter for me."

To me the bits in bold mean one of three things. Either his new role is more of a flashy position with no real power much like an honorary president, he's going to be relocated and have very little to do with the two British stables or most likely he's Sheikh Mohammed's personal advisor in a capacity outside of Godolphin and perhaps the Sheikh will begin a separate operation not under the title of Godolphin.

The racing Post had this Info weeks ago but refused to print .This has a stamp of the Warren Commission about it in my humble opinion. Will they bring back Diane Cooper who was top notch and knew her job.Im told trainers will be the mouth piece for Godolphin with Diane giving statements on global targets.

Complete non-story. He's quitting Godolphin but he isn't really quitting Godolphin.

I thought at the time of the doping news that Crisford was very quick to knife al Zarooni, otherwise Crisford would have been gone the same day. I always thought that al Zarooni was Crisford's man, brought in to undermine, and eventually replace, bin Soroor. The news of his "re-deployment" is surely the chickens coming home to roost.
