If you want to some time lapsing on the cheap and happen to have an old android phone with a half decent camera you can get a few apps on the store as well.

Or just use a webcam and the free "ffmpeg" transcoding software.

It can take a local usb webcam or an internet webcam as a source, and take snapshots every X seconds and append them to an AVI, with an optional timestamp label on the top of the frame.

I do this with my Zyzel NSA325 nas box.

That is just the kind of thing I was looking for!
Be great with the wide angle lens.
    Still decent value at €100?

If all the orders were canceled then probably a pricing mistake - so you didnt miss anything - anyway 720pixels doesnt sound great spec for a camera.

The lego animation I have done before using a normal compact camera and something like Microsofts Movie Maker (download the old version from XP/Vista - not the Movie Maker Live as the older has much more options suitable for stop motion)

And as other have said there is free software to do the time lapse trick if you have an Android spare.
