As a huge fan of 'Animal House', 'Caddyshack' and of course 'Ghostbusters', this is very sad news.

A hugely influential comedy writer and director.

    RIP

I was hoping this would be a hoax but no. This is sad news and untimely. Egon Spengler was a hero to me in my childhood, I literally wanted to be exactly like Egon Spengler apart from Peter Venkman. Harold Ramis was incredibly multi talented as a director, writer and actor. RIP.

Ghostbusters was the first movie I saw in the cinema, the toy figure had one hell of a quif.

These second city actors from the late 60s/ 70s were all in a class of their own.

They were in the original line up.

And so was Douglas Adams sort of. Apparently Aykroyds script bumped HHGTTG.
And Ramis was asked to rewrite it.

Still devastated over this news :(. The tributes being paid to him shows just how much of an influence he had to modern day actors/comedians.

Fantastic touch from fans who left twinkies outside the Ghostbusters firehouse in New York also.
