    No, I do not like his voice, wish he would stay on Radio Ulster and leave Five Live alone.

    He tones it down a lot for 5 Live though.

    On Radio Ulster he can switch from some of the most serious journalism to talking about Big Audrey, peach schnapps etc.

    There is no doubt he is an extremely capable interviewer.

    His show on 5live used to be great radio, then they changed his slot and now he seems to have lost a lot of his sparkle.

    In defence of Nolan, I actually think his show on Radio Ulster is very good. None of the substitute presenters cut it for me while he's away.

    I haven't listened much to his 5 Live shows, but I suppose they're geared up for a mostly English audience so the issues will be vastly different compared to NI.

    Somebody tell me what's wrong with his style of presentation, other than "Nolan's rubbish because I don't like Nolan" ?????? Not liking a presenter isn't really a reason to say he's a bad presenter.

    Personally, I think he's far better than Wendy Austin.

    For me its the voice.

    But I really like Alan Green.

    Both Northern voices:confused::confused::confused:

    When Stephen deals with a proper serious issue with a fist hand victim of something he is very accommodating & compassionate.

    However, much of the stuff is tabloidey shouty LCD guff.
    Daily mail fodder.

    However since Tony Livesey left, I have hardly listened at night anymore.
    Phil Williams is barely OK, but his stand in, Adrian Goldberg has the worst voice on all of UK radio.
