Hi, my mother has recently fell very sick and needs full time care, Since I am the only single one of the family I have decided to move back home after 25 years of not living there and care for her.
How would I go about getting my name back on the rent book??? and should anything happen to her in the near future will I be able to stay in the council house???
    Thank you...

She just has to add you through the council office ,

If anything happens to her in the future you will have no claim to stay in the house ,

Happened to a family friend recently parent passed away after moving home council took the house back 6 weeks after the parents death

Really ??? even it's the house you grew up in for half your life, I was originally a tenant there for 21 years back a few years... I moved away got married , bought my own place but have since separated and lost everything due to the corrupt government, house went into negative equity... etc. etc...
