Tax Refund - pending

Hi Guys
Wonder if someone can help - Myself and Mrs B applied for some tax credits and after jumping through hoops these were applied to the last 4 years - Speaking with tax office today she started that the refund for each year needs to be approved and as such in pending.

How long does this typically take? we talking days or weeks.....

They're usually pretty efficient (probably the only govt department that is) but I'd say more likely weeks than days if approvals are needed

Really there's no way of knowing - last year my refund had to be passed to someone more senior for approval and it took almost 10 weeks from sending in the P60s to getting the P21 and refund
