Hi, I am looking to buy a Series 2 or 3 Land Rover as a restoration project. I have posted in the classic cars forum as well but I thought the farming forum might be worth a try as I figured there might be many an old Land Rover rusting away in farm yards around the country!

Does anyone here have one or know of a neighbour who has one? Thanks!

What part of the country are you in?
I know a lad in Wicklow that repairs them and has a few in the yard

Surely you'd have much better chances of finding something in GB?

Can anyone recommend someone that can do a full 'windows out, interior stripped' respray on a defender with the usual bumps and bruises. Repainting in the original colour.

A lot of defender specialists list respraying on their websites but I am looking for a high end job. Preferably the north west region but will travel?

    Thanks.

No, I rang him and he said that he was only doing his own bits and bobs now. Nothing privately.
    Sorry :(
