Few cast changes from season 1. Actors that portrayed both Judy and Mark Moran and Roberta Williams have changed. The Moran mother wasn't really in the first series that much but the other two are fine actors and will be missed

just forced myself to watch the entire underbelly canon a few weeks back and then heard about this. some other company is financing it so it doesn't have the underbelly name. might give it a watch if it gets good reviews but I've already forgotten what happened in the first series.

Excellent series. Series 1 to 3 on Netflix.

Managed to see last weeks double episode. Well worth a watch but tells it from a slightly different perspective to the original 2008 series which is strange since the same actors appear in it.

Great series though. I think the whole Underbelly format would really travel and given the events of the weekend you'd get a series out of JG alone :)

Think it could only be a 4 part mini series. Maybe im wrong. 4 just seems awfully small but maybe they hadnt the funding for any more. The regular series (Badness and Squizzy) was shortened from 13 to 8 episodes.

Even then those ones had a lot of pointless filler. Four tight episodes could be perfect.

Good point. 13 could be too much but tbh in the case of 'A Tale of two cities', 13 wasn't quite enough. It was a savage series. Some headcases down under in the 70s. Id say you could have made a mini series out of one day of Chris Flannerys life. Total head the ball. Best series of the show in my opinion followed by the original series and then Series 5.

Funnily enough a few actors are being recycled. The guy who played Louis Bayeh in s3 is a detective in Fat Tony and Carl Williams wife (who was recast for Fat Tony) played Detective Gary Jubellins girlfriend in S5.

The original actress that played Roberta Williams done a great job. I get the impression she didnt turn down the chance to play her this time for nothing though. I believe Roberta herself wasnt too happy with Kat Stewarts portrayal. :)

    jubellin's blonde or brunette gf?
I thought the cops were very interesting in s5 but the bad guys made no sense at all. it would have been better if we'd never seen them.
