Early DOE?

    Just wondering if the DOE can be done early like an NCT?

    Or would it only be valid for 12 months from the date of testing meaning doing it early is actually screwing yourself out of whatever time is left on it?

    3. Can I have my vehicle tested before the test due date?
    Yes. To assist operational flexibility, vehicle owners and operators can ‘bring forward’ their test by up to 30 days, and still receive the full certificate (i.e. it could therefore be valid for a maximum of 13 months). The next test due date will be the following years anniversary of 1st registration. For example
    Expiry date Certificate of Roadworthiness (CRW)
    Test (pass) date
    New CRW expiry date
    15th October 2013
    1st October 2013
    15th October 2014

    Certainly helps - thanks.

    May actually ring the RSA tomorrow as I'm not sure whats considered to be my registration date since its an import. All I know for sure is DOE is due in April.

    well i'm hopping mad meself ,son got nct notice for car and forgot about it ,due now, so went online to book it and must wait until end of may, is that a way to force everyone to book early or what, surely less cars in country now than a few years ago
