tv package with no satelite dish

    Hi, just moved into an appartment which doesnt allow sat dishes
    So wondering whats best/cheapest deal to get tv channels
    Have saorview at minute but looking say, uk channels etc
    Am i right in saying combo boxes need a dish
    Is the only option upc,or is there another way
    Sorry if this been asked 100 times before

    Yes.

    Without a dish I guess you will need broadband ........ unless in an area where you can receive N.I or U.K terrestrial broadcasts.

    If you are lucky enough to have a south-facing balcony you might be able to discreetly have a dish for the UK channels. See threads like this for more info.

    Some apartment complexes don't allow individual satellite dishes but do have a single communal satellite dish on the roof.

    Check with the management company.

    I think satellite is the only free source of UK channels in the ROI.

    Some east coast and border counties can get FreeView terrestrial overspill.

    You could use Filmon or XBMC

    You'll need a decent internet connection.
    Both are android apps and you could run them on an Android TV box.

    XBMC also runs on a PC.

    They are pretty poor for browsing live TV but work fine if you know what you want to watch.

    have filmon on the phone, dont have a pc
    so prob looks like upc then

    You could get and Android TV box or an Ouya and hook it up to the TV.

    XBMC has addons like BBC iPleyer, 4OD, RTE player etc.
