Needle replacement for a vinyl player

Those basic players generally all come with a similar type of arm & cartridge & will usually take a similar stylus. Often the supplied needle is of pretty crap quality so replacing it is a good idea anyway even if it's not broken, just slide the red stylus section off by gripping firmly but not too tightly then gently pulling it away from the cartridge body then reverse the step with the new one.

I had a similar turntable a few years ago before upgrading to a Thorens (night & day improvement btw!), can't remember the exact make but I got it in Argos. Like yours the needle broke on it so had to go looking for a replacement. The stylus for a Bush MTT2 did the job nicely & as a bonus it's far kinder on records - the presupplied ones on these turntables often damage the grooves far more than an even slightly better quality one would - eventually destroying them. I'd be 95% sure the one I've linked to should fit your player but you could always contact the site to be safe.

If you really want to get into vinyl though you're far better off investing some money in a separate turntable - amp - speaker combo. It'll cost a few hundred but it's a great investment that should last you years. Project & rega make some good quality budget turntables if you're interested in going that direction. Happy listening!

Oh thanks Custardpi! That's all really useful. I'll try and remove and replace for now while I look into a better player :)
