So after today i need to do some serious work on the putting so I was looking to see if anyone has any good drills to improve the consistency that can be done on the carpet at home?

5 3 putts from inside 30 foot today and also missed about 5/6 good birdie opportunities.

    Any help appreciated

My hall at home when I was younger was big enough. About 15ft.

I used to do few drills although I also had a mat too.

First one was where I would putt to the wall and get as close to the wall without touching it.

Second was where I would putt one ball. Then I would putt and try go about foot past. Each ball after would go just past the last ball.

You can also do these on course, but found them great for feel.

I used to play this game where I created a kinda circle around size of Golf Hole around piece of carpet. I have 3 balls. If I got 1 ball to land inside the circle I get a point. Then got 2nd, get 2 points. Now the third ball I had to try and knock the 2 balls out of the circle. If I managed to get the 2 balls out of circle I would get 4 points.

Myself and younger brother played it over Christmas and had good craic.

Your 5 3 putts? Did you not get within 3 feet of hole with first putt? Were the second putts threatening the hole? Did you feel pressure to make second putt?
If no to the first part work on pace not line for long putts. Yes to the second, then you have to work on line.
You won't hole too many 30 foot putts but work on the second putts from 3 foot.
