Any recommendations? After today my front ones are totally shot to pieces.

Swissstop GHP (Green High Power) or BXP (Blue eXtreme Power). Green is excellent in all conditions, blue a little further improvement in wet braking.

Another vote for swissstop Green (swimcyclerun had them on sale)

I'd also be interested for people feedback for disc pads.

Sorry to hijack this but how often should you change brake pads?

I've had my bike since June, I do around 100km per week & have had the bike serviced twice but don't think brake pads were changed.

Is it an easy enough job?

I had Swisstop ones but found they wore very quick and not great in the rain. Changed yesterday to Aztec ones. They seem to have better stopping power in the wet.

Went off SwissStop, wear pretty quick and they tend to hold onto shards of metal from your rims which wear your rims down quicker if u don't take the shards out.

Sooooo switched to KoolStop and i'm pretty impressed, stop just as well as SwissStop and they don't hold the shards of metal like the Swiss ones do.

Oh and the Kool ones seem to work better in the wet too.

2nd the Koolstop, their salmon ones are good in our weather.

These surprised me in a good way and are cheap : http://www.wiggle.co.uk/lifeline-professional-road-brake-inserts-pack-of-4/

I just bought a set of Salmon KoolStops so I'll have a go at changing them when they arrive
