    Ok 4 things to consider.

1 -look into Asus z87 plus. Little bit dearer. But word on the street is msi meh on quality so may as well go Asrock.

    2-R9 290 ( overclocked nearly as much kick as a 780 ti)

3- nanoxia deep silence 2 . Better case than r4 at cooling /silence department but not by a huge margin. That said r4 got nice look to it.

4- if your budget not so strict. have you considered I7.

Actually it's the Deep Silence 1 that he wants. The 2 is a stripped-down version.

Yes the deep silence 1 is better at 90 odd euro and would be first choice for me anyway.

I mentioned deep silence 2 as it is cheaper and although stripped down version of 1, still does better than r4 if silence and cooling what you after. That said I think r4 looks better.

The R4 edges ahead in looks (for me personally at least), but the DS1 blows it out of the water where customisability is concerned.

Yea thx for that did read somthing regarding that and for a 15 euro difference I agree.

As for the r9 290 (290x or just 290?) they have gone up in price so much and also availability seems to be an issue but will look into it. If i was to go up to I7 i would have to save on other parts of the build maybe on the GPU, also does it look like it will be common for games to utilise the I7 in the future?

I will also take your advice on the case thx, will mounting options for 2.5" drives be fine for the case?

Yeah. Both cases's hard drive racks can hold 2.5 or 3.5 drives.

R9 290 Asus direct cu cooling model Amazon 349 pounds(439 euro delivered). Amazon best to buy your Gpu from anyhow. Great customer care.
Just giving you other options , but a 780 is a good card and will play games for you on ultra so stick with it if you want.

As for I7 don't worry about it ,was just checking. CPU you choose is a good one won't hold you back gaming.
You can always throw in an i7 broadwell down the line.
