Aesthetic Stress

Evening.

I own one of these with a silver Sora tripple groupset.

I'm about to upgrade to 105 compact and can't decide on silver or black for the new groupset.

The stress of this decision is almost unbearable, please help.

FWIW I think that the modern style of the Cube looks better with black.

If it was something more classic looking I'd go silver.

Black will wear down quicker and you'll be left with silver marks on your black chainset....I'd personally go with silver.

Actually, when I look at my bike now, 105 is more grey than silver. You may consider this.

Black- just apply clear frame protect strips to prevent foot rub

Definitely definitely black. All black definitely works with that frame. Silver just looks wrong.

Now for the bar tape, same dilemma I think the rules allow me both options.

Bar tape is easy, match it the saddle. Unless the saddle is black, then go with red.

I always find that somewhat strange as the saddle will be the most hidden part of the bike (except of course when you're climbing like a boss!).

I've a black saddle and white bar tape. Overall it looks nice.
