    You can probably claim straight away if you can prove you had to leave due to stress (which you seem to be suffering from). In other words - a doctor's report. But that's a last resort. If Welfare do not accept your explanation, then you won't be paid for nine weeks as you'll have been deemed to leave your job for no good reason

    But I'd keep banging out the CV's and asking around. Remember - it's easier to find work if you're already working than it is to find work if you're not.

    I hear ya ! I was in a similar situation at a hotel, I couldn't bare it anymore, I've got another job which was only part time with less pay, but felt so much better. Remember, your own health can cost you more than you earn. You could think of working any job, just to get payed and carry on with the hair salon hunts.
