Can you purchase a 1.4 Diesel Polo or Golf are they still be manufactured? Looking at 2012 upwards.

Smallest golf diesel is 1.6, smallest Polo diesel is 1.2
    Diesel polos are very pricey.

Stay away from the 1.2 TDI, it's a 3 cylinder 75hp engine so it's not too good. My grandad used to have it in the 1.6 TDI 90hp which was awesome but you pay a significant premium. (was €21k in 2010). They are not too common either and are not made anymore.
He changed his for a mk7 Golf last year but he really liked the Polo.
