A few weeks ago my SNR was 6.9 checked it today and my stats are as follows:

    Line standard VDSL2

    Channel type
    None
    Downstream line rate (kbit/s) 40958
    Upstream line rate (kbit/s) 10239

    Downstream SNR (dB) 3.4
    Upstream SNR (dB) 7.8
    Downstream line attenuation (dB) 17.4
    Upstream line attenuation (dB) 6.3
    Downstream output power (dBmV) 12.4
    Upstream output power (dBmV) 8.3

    Downstream CRC 6592
    Upstream CRC 0
    Downstream FEC 1799
    Upstream FEC 0

So I my SNR has halved. What could cause this? Speed is still the same and connection has been stable no drop outs.

Did you add anything to other internal phone points? Could be something outside your control like water ingress in the line etc.

Went outside and had a look and the access panel had blown off and the black connector thing was wet, opened up and there was this glue like substance, removed and dried out SNR back up to 6.4 ish...

Will fix it up properly when its a bit nicer weather :D

What's the access panel for? I thought telephone lines were underground?

I'm in an estate and the phone line comes into a panel at the side of the house. Near where the electricity meter comes into the house.
