    Jason Momoa :)

Red Road is a hard-hitting drama that revolves around a sheriff struggling to keep his family together while simultaneously policing two clashing communities: the small town where he grew up and the neighboring Ramapo Mountains, home of the Ramapo Mountain Indians. After a terrible tragedy and coverup occurs involving the sheriff’s wife, an unholy alliance is forged between the sheriff and a dangerous member of the tribe that will come back to haunt all involved.

Jason Momoa is a good choice as the villain

Looking forward to this though reviews haven't been good. Someone linked me to an AVclub review where they really seemed to have it out for the show. That said I've found the AVclub reviews to be poor and it seems that they'll dislike a show if it doesn't do exactly what they think it should v

Fist Episode is already out there. I enjoyed it, Sundance seem good at doing character driven stuff.

Really enjoying this and I can see it becoming one of those great short order shows. The pacing is a little slow but as it's the pilot I can easily forgive that. It's a show that isn't spoon feeding us the plot, the opening shot of a lonely car in a deserted highway was beautiful and I imagine that it's a theme which will reoccur throughout the series.

The marginalization of people seems integral to the story being told and what better back drop than a reservation upon which to hang that tale.

The cast are excellent and it's great to see Henderson get a chance at something interesting. He's one of those actors who never got a fair shake. Sure his characters home life is a little cliched but the writers do seen to be trying something a little interesting with it. Mamoma really impressed me, he has that roguish twinkle down and having only known him from Stargate: Atlantis I'm surprised by just how damn good he is. The most interesting casting choice is Tom Sizemore. He's long been one if my all time favourite actors and over the past decade and a bit has seen him go from the next big thing to jailed drug addict to porn star to direct to DVD action star. Hopefully this is the first step to his career getting back in track, he's only got a small file thus far but he's mesmerising in it.

Quite enjoyed the pilot. Enough to make me want to see what happens for the next episode or two. Definitely giving this a chance.

I've yet to get around to the other episodes but did rewatch the first one last week and it relly is a nice, leisurely set up. Think that it's one of those shows best experienced over a weekend and not drawn out over a month and a half.

Just started watching this today and got a real Top of the Lake vibe and feel from it. So if it turns out anything like that it should be good.

Sundance TV has renewed for a 2nd season

Thought they did that a good while ago. Think it's got a ten episode order too. Looks like it's gotten a six episode order. Might have mixed the renewal I was talking about with another show.
