Personally I dont like them but each to their own :o

I like the styling of them in the Topshop pic, not keen on the New Look or asos ones though. I don't like the New Look ones because they're bleached and I don't like the asos ones because the ankle cuffs are not rolled up. How picky am I! I think they're a nice change from skinny jeans though!

Genuinely never thought I'd see the day someone in the year 2014 was using Saved by the Bell as legit fashion inspiration.

    I am clearly old now.

They're truly awful, IMO. Horrible. They're called mom jeans because they're so unflattering.

These are one of these fashions that'll be in gone from the shops within a month. They'd only suit the most serious of fashionistas and very slim women. They're awful in my opinion.

My only problem so far is I can't find a jacket or coat that looks nice with them! Think I'll have to wait until it gets a bit warmer to wear them but other than that they're really growing on me! So comfy :)

What is this?! The phrase Mom jeans is used to describe an ill fitting, unflattering pair of jeans. I clicked on the links thinking they might be a somehow stylish version but no they actually are mom jeans. Ridiculous IMO, I must be getting old!

Go to the US. See the large amount of middle aged women who wear these jeans, usually with t-shirts tucked in. Shudder. Vow never ever to fall into that trap.

Lol, when I saw the thread title I thought you were talking about the follow on from maternity jeans that are supposed to tuck your wobbly bits out of sight after having a baby!

These are beyond vile. Can't imagine them looking well on anyone other than people who look great in everything.

I think they're meant for people who are actually too young to possibly be a Mum! ;)

Ugh, these things never looked good on anyone and I can't believe they are popular again.

We used to call the carrot legs and I think it is perfect description. :D

If you're under 17, have long legs, no hips or any curves for that matter and have a small chest you MIGHT pull these off while they're still in fashion IF you style them very carefully. By autumn they'll be gone and by this time next year you'll look back wondering what you were thinking.

Almost any adult hears "mom jeans" and shudders. This is one that should have been burried.

If you're looking for an alternative to skinny jeans there are plenty of options. For example, gap do a nice sexy boot.

There's just no need to bring back the mom jean

Lol, they elongate and slim you legs. Mom jeans shorten and fatten them. Guess which is standing the test of time? :P

I'd never wear them myself, I'm far too short and stumpy. But I have seen them on tall slim girls and they don't look too bad. I think you'd have to keep the rest of the look fairly streamlined though, to avoid looking bulkier than you are.

Way prefer boyfriend jeans as an alternative to skinnies, especially cropped with heels.

I'm not a fan of them at all, but if you can wear them and style them well, and are comfortable in them, then you may as well go for it. There are a few blogs/websites/videos out there which give tips on how to style them; here's a few samples:

I'm sorry, but they could not be more unflattering. That model's stomach and crotch region look really weird.
