    Some personal notes:

There's a lot of work to be done in the next week before we broadcast on FM, including but not limited to bringing the website up to scratch, finalizing the schedule, and moving our equipment into Tait House from our home for the last 9 or so months at Windmill Motors just off the Ballysimon Road.

This is Limerick City's first-ever licensed community radio station. We're all extremely excited to be broadcasting on FM as LCCR has been in the making for about a year now and so far we have been broadcasting exclusively on the web 24/7, with live shows going out during weekdays and non-stop music to fill in the gaps.

I personally joined up last July and was invited to be on the management team, having previous experience in community radio outside of Limerick City. Our website will soon have profiles of all the volunteers and their roles, including for those on the management team.

The station is not ours. It's yours. As a not-for-profit community station, our aim is to give the city a voice on the airwaves and we hope to see our team of volunteers grow further as we get the word out and begin broadcasting on FM. Our main goal for the short-term future is obtaining the 100-day license so we can broadcast for 50 weekends of the year and in the long-term we hope to be granted the 10-year license so we can broadcast 7 days a week.
