    Hi all,

I am in the process of ordering mortuary/memorial cards for my uncle who died last year. He was in his 50s and had severe Autism. He couldn't speak and had very little social skills.

I want to include an appropriate verse/poem/quote on the back of the memorial card to reflect his life. He was institutionalized all his life in a nursing home, of sorts, for poeple with severe mental disabilities.

His life would have been difficult, but we can only speculate how he felt.

Can anyone recommend an appropriate verse, it need not be religious in tone.

    Kind regards,
    Daithi

PS: Please move/add this to different forums if appropriate.

    Just some suggestions.

    Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand

    Proverbs 31:8
Speak out on behalf of the voiceless, and for the rights of all who are vulnerable

    John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

    Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

    Romans 12:12
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer

    2 Corinthians 12:10
For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Or maybe something about everlasting life?

John 11:25 - Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live

    John 14:3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
