    Hi all,

I have a job that needs doing but I'm not sure of the logistics required to get it done. Would appreciate some advice. Basically the external rear wall of a (small) kitchen extension is currently double pvc & glass doors with large window and I want to make it double doors plus floor to ceiling glass for the rest of the wall & upgrade all glass to triple glaze. Is the best way to go about it to
    1. Get a builder to scope work, provide quote and measurements for glass requirements.
    2. Use measurements to order glass.
    3. Few days before glass arrives get builder to prepare the wall
    4. Who installs & seals the windows - is that the builder or glazier?
    5. Builder finishes/plasters etc.
    Thanks!
    Gumby.

    Either method could be applied.
Best option is to create the opening then get the Window Manufacturers to measure and fit the Windows. That way any future problems with the Windows is down to the Manufacturers.
Have you considered using a Glazed folding Wall instead. Where you can open and fold it back as much as you want, especially in Summer.
You will also need toughened Glass for safety which may not be suitable for triple glazing. ?

Get a builder or three to price to do all the work. That way you have one point of contact, and one person in control of the entire job which will limit issues between trades and hasstle for you
